Schooling and Licensing Requirements in Vermont
There are some education and examination requirements to obtain a license to practice massage therapy in the state of Vermont.
You will need to complete a minimum of 500 hours education at an approved school. You will cover various areas as part of the curriculum as guided by your school.
There are currently no requirements to pass one of the nationally recognized exams as set by the Federation, but it’s good practice to do so.
There isn’t a statewide regulatory massage therapy board in Vermont. This reduces the barrier to entry, as well as having the obvious drawbacks of not being as thorough in regards to regulating therapists.
