Schooling and Licensing Requirements in Massachusetts
There are some education and examination requirements to obtain a massage therapy license in the state of Kansas.
You need to have at least a high school diploma or similar. Then you will have to complete at least 550 hours of education at an approved massage therapy school.
These hours will cover the following topics:
- 300 hours – Massage therapy and techniques
- 100 hours – Anatomy and physiology
- 60 hours – Business ethics, professionalism, and practice
- 45 hours – Pathology
- 45 hours – Kinesiology
- You will also need to pass one of the national massage therapy exams. Such as the MBLEx, NCETM, or the NCETMB.
