Here’s What to Wear to a Couples Massage
What to Wear When You Turn up For a Couples Massage
When you turn up for a massage it’s best if you wear something comfortable that you can easily slip off.
You’ll be given a robe to wear during your massage, but it’s easier if you don’t have to fiddle around with buttons or zips.
I would recommend wearing shorts and a tank top/sports bra for women, and shorts and a t-shirt for men.
But ultimately, it’s up to you. You need to be comfortable and happy, so wear what makes you most comfortable.

What to Wear During a Couples Massage
Once you’re in the room and ready to start, you’ll be given a robe to change into.
This is usually a big, loose-fitting cotton robe that ties at the waist.
You can keep your underwear on if you like, but most people prefer to be nude during a massage.
If you do choose to remove your underwear, you can keep your robe on or drape a towel over your lower half.
Your therapist will only uncover the part of your body they are working on, and if you’re concerned about them or the person you’re with seeing more than you want them to, don’t be!
This is what massage therapists do, and they will respect your privacy no matter who you’ve brought along with you for your massage.
Also, you’ll be covered up and warm throughout the massage, so don’t worry about being cold.
What to Wear After a Couples Massage
After your massage, you’ll be given some time to relax and get dressed.
You can put your robe back on if you’re staying at the spa, or get dressed in your own clothes.
You might want to avoid wearing anything constricting like jeans or a tight top.
I hope this has helped clear up any confusion about what to wear to a Couples massage.
Remember, the most important thing is that you’re both comfortable!
How Do You Prepare for A Couples Massage?
Now that you know what to wear, let’s talk about how to prepare for your couples massage.
First and foremost, remember that this is a time for relaxation.
Leave any stress or anxiety at the door and enjoy some quality time with your massage partner!
Try to arrive early so you can have some time to relax in the sauna or steam room before your massage.
This will help you get into the right mindset for relaxation.
When you’re ready, head to the massage room and make yourself comfortable.
Your therapist will give you a brief rundown of what to expect and then let you know when they’re ready to begin.
Once the massage is over, take some time to enjoy the peace and quiet.
You might want to have a glass of water or a cup of tea before heading back out into the world.
Most importantly, don’t forget to schedule some time for yourself after your massage!
This is a time for you to relax and unwind, so make sure you have nothing scheduled for at least an hour after your massage.
What to Expect from A Couples Massage
Now that you know what to wear and how to prepare, let’s talk about what you can expect from your couples massage.
With a couples massage, typically you and the person you are having a massage with will be on parallel tables.
This means that you can see each other. Although, I’m sure if you prefer to be further away your therapist will accommodate you if you ask them.
You can choose to have a conversation with your partner during the massage or simply enjoy the silence.
It’s up to you!
You will either have a therapist each and be massaged simultaneously or in some cases, it may be the same therapist and they’ll ask you who wants to go first.
Either way, it’s your time to simply lay there, relax, and enjoy this experience with the person you’ve gone with.

Can You Talk During a Couples Massage?
This is one of the most common questions I hear, should I talk to my partner during a couples massage or is it frowned upon?
The answer is, it’s entirely up to you!
Some people feel more comfortable talking during their massage, while others prefer to simply relax in silence.
There is no right or wrong answer here.
If you do choose to talk, keep the conversation light and easy.
A lot of people use this time to relax and connect with the person they’re sharing this experience with, so do what makes you both comfortable.
I hope this has helped clear up any confusion about what to expect from a couples massage.
Remember, the most important thing is that you’re both comfortable and enjoying yourselves and you have a day to remember!
