Meditation Funny Quotes and Sayings

Two of the greatest loves in my life are; meditating, and laughing.

So, I figured, why not collect some of the best funny meditation quotes. I had a great time finding them, and I hope you have just as much reading and sharing them!

Meditation: Funny Quotes and Sayings

To earn the trust of your meditation, you have to visit it every day. It’s like having a puppy. – Chelsea Richer

I love this. To really enjoy the benefits of meditation, you have to practice daily. There are no excuses either, it only needs to take a few minutes.

Tieing it to being like looking after a puppy is funny, but so true. I’ve had a couple of puppies, the more time you put into them the more you get back. The only difference, there’s no skipping a day with a puppy!

You are only 10 minutes and one meditation away from a good mood. – Unknown

I’ve seen this quote written on one of those plaques that hang around the home before. It’s a good quote to keep in mind when things are getting a bit stressful.

It makes me smile, but it’s so true. Use this one with someone who doesn’t meditate, it might just give them that motivation to improve their wellbeing and squash those bad moods.

It’s a more overall kinda thing. – Eva Mendes

Most people find it difficult to articulate what meditation is to them and how it makes them feel. This is because it has a really profound effect on most people, it certainly does for me.

This is why it made me smile when I read this short and sweet quote from Eva Mendes. It is an overall kinda thing.

Inhale the good sh*t, exhale the bullsh*t. – Unknown

The fundamentals of meditation are focusing on breathing in, and then out. A lot of guided tracks will talk you through taking a big inhale, then imagining all the bad stuff leaving your body as you exhale.

So, in simple and explicit terms, this quote hits the nail right on the head. It’s just a funny way of saying it.

It’s a lifelong gift, something you can call on at any time. – Paul McCartney

As a huge Beatles fan, and in particular a fan of Sir Paul McCartney, when he talks, I listen. If meditation has been a lifelong gift for him, us meditators are doing something right.

Meditation is a lifelong gift, it’s not just a passing phase. I don’t know anyone who has starting meditating daily stop for any length of time. It’s that good.

Meditation helps you stay in a clear-headed state so that when challenges come at you, you can deal with them like a ninja – in a calm thoughtful way. – Ray Dalio

This one made me laugh the first time I heard it. There is something beautiful about combining the swift violence of a ninja, with the calm and thoughtful zen of meditation.

There’s an important message underneath the surface here that you shouldn’t ignore. If you’re struggling with challenges and difficulties in your life, try meditating.

You don’t always need a plan. Sometimes you just need to breathe, trust, let go, and see what happens. – Unknown

This is a quote for the carefree among us. How needs a clear plan when you can just put aside 10-20 minutes a day to meditate and see where it takes you.

Honestly, if there is something it’s worth believing in, then it’s mindfulness and self-improvement. Everything else will fall in to place so much easier from there.

Meditation: Because some answers can only be found on the inner net. – Shira Tamir

What would a bunch of funny quotes be without one referencing the internet in some way? Just like most answers can be found on the internet, you can find most answers by looking within yourself.

Some Deep Thought Provoking Meditation Quotes

While looking for meditation quotes I got lost in the world of funny, interesting, and thought-provoking quotes. I couldn’t resist sharing a few of the most thought-provoking meditation quotes.

Hopefully, these inspire you!

When you realize how perfect everything is, you will tilt your head back and laugh at the sky. – Buddha

This is so deep. What exactly is Buddha talking about, right? For me, he’s just stating that life is wonderful if you embrace it and appreciate everything you have while you’re here.

Knowing others is wisdom, knowing yourself is Enlightenment. – Lao Tzu

The wisdom Lao Tzu also known as Laozi gave to the world all those thousands of years ago still stands strong. That’s what really amazes me about the Chinese philosopher.

I remember coming to this realization many years ago. Really knowing and understanding yourself is so enlightening.

If you abandon the present moment, you cannot live the moments of your daily life deeply. – Thich Nhat

Thich Nhat was a Vietnamese Buddist monk and peace activist. He said loads of insightful things that have become well-known quotes. I like this one, it sums up mindfulness wonderfully.

Don’t go for what you know you can get. Go for what you really want. – Maharishi Mahesh Yogi

Maharishi Mahesh Yogi is credited with creating Transcendental Meditation. A powerful form of meditation that involves you repeating a word over and over to keep your focus.

I’ve been practicing Transcendental Meditation (TM) for a few months now. I have to say, it’s made a huge difference in my life. My body and mind feel way more connected, it’s something I’m going to write about in the future.

I hope you enjoyed the meditation quotes I found. Some are funny, some are insightful, and some are deep. If you have any that you’d like me to add to the list, drop me a note and I will take a look.

As always, any questions and feedback are welcome.

Here’s to calm minds, happiness, and enlightenment!
