If you’ve been promoted to the role of manager I’m sure you’re pretty excited – and I’m sure you deserve it!
Once the information has settled in, the professional and courteous thing to do is to write to the person responsible for promoting you and thank them.

It’s important to thank the person responsible for promoting you for a number of reasons.
