Shamballa Reiki Explained

Shamballa Reiki

Shamballa Reiki is part of the original Reiki system. It’s also called the Shamballa Multidimensional Healing System, and is another form of healing through the direction of energy.

Shamballa Reiki adds some techniques to the original skill set. It’s a more user-friendly range of techniques that are easier to master for both the practitioners and patients. The added benefits this being that it’s quicker and easier, making it more appealing to beginners in some instances.

This form of healing works by channeling the energy across several levels of the patient. Making an impact on a person’s physical being, as well working on their outer energy. It’s hard to put into words. But although it’s a quick treatment it’s incredibly fulfilling and complete as a form of healing.

These treatments are completely safe. The worst case scenario is that they don’t make any difference to the patient, but the best case scenario is an incredibly satisfying and life-changing feeling of improved well-being.

Origins of Shamballa Reiki

The Reiki healing system was developed in Japan. The Shamballa system was also developed in Japan by a man named Mikaomi Usui and expands on the original system and techniques.

As the story is told these techniques date back to the early 1900’s. After a near-death experience Mr Usui felt something was missing in his life. He decided to dedicate his time to exploring the methods and practices of Buddha’s.

He discovered he could help heal others with his hands through manipulating patient’s own energy source. He developed his techniques and thus the techniques we know and still use today were formed.

For Levels of Attunement

The attunement of Shamballa is broken down into four levels. I will explain these in a little more detail to give you a better understanding. Although there are various ways to learn about the attunement, its best learned from an experienced and competent practitioner.

Level 1 Reiki

The first level helps the patient become familiar with Reiki and what it involves by themselves. You only need a few minutes and you can start to focus on your own energy and self-healing.

A lot of people think there are special or spiritual healing skills required. This isn’t the case, anyone can start to practice Reiki on themselves. The real value is in trying, and believing in this form of healing and trying it.

Level 2 Reiki

The second level involves sending healing energy to other people across long distances. It involves using symbols and the person’s name and concentrating on their energy.

Level 3 Reiki

Level 3 is a more concentrated and powerful version of level 2. It involves more symbols and a greater understanding of Shamballa and how it feels to channel energy. Like all things, with practice you become more familiar and can intuitively perform actions.

Level 4 Reiki

Level 4 Reiki is referred to as the ‘Master’ level. You will learn about hundreds of different symbols and practice healing techniques on other people. You will be in a position to help others learn more about Reiki and explain how it’s helped you, and can help others.

What to Expect from a Shamballa Reiki Healing Session

Most people are unsure what to expect from their first visit to a Reiki practitioner. I’ve been myself to experience this practice, and I will say right off the top that you have nothing to be nervous about. It’s a gentle, pleasant and interesting experience.

You will be asked to lay down on a massage table or a flat surface and relax. It’s important that you try to relax as much as you can and try to clear your mind of worries and anxiety. Treat it like a light meditation session, the more open you are to receiving the energy the more you will benefit from it.

There are different techniques, some are hands on and some are hands off. A lot of people report feeling warm sensations and a tingling feeling. Not just on the areas the practitioner is working on but all over their bodies.

Because the treatment transcends across the physical, emotional and spiritual well-being of the patient it’s normal to experience a range of feelings and emotions. You may experience ‘strange’ thoughts and feelings, this is all perfectly normal.

The majority of patients report feeling relaxed, mentally more alert, a reduction in pain, and a feeling of well-being that’s hard to explain. This is probably because it’s a spiritual well-being that can’t really be defined. You just feel ‘awakened‘ like never before.
