If you’re reading this you probably have a Scentsy Warmer. And, you’re wondering, can you put vanilla extract in a Scentsy Warmer instead of one of their recommended Scentsy Wax Bars…
Well, you can use vanilla extract in your Scentsy, or any other wax tart warmer for that matter. It shouldn’t do any harm to your warmer when done properly.
It will however void your warranty on your Scentsy. Scentsy recommends only using their wax bars (of course), using anything else will void your warranty which means you aren’t entitled to a refund if your warmer becomes faulty.
How to Use Vanilla Extract in Your Scentsy Warmer
It’s really simple and a lot less expensive to use vanilla extract in your warmer, and it’ll produce a lovely sweet vanilla scent around your home.
The only thing you need to remember is to add some water to the dish first, then add a few drops of vanilla extract.
If you don’t add some water to the dish the extract will burn. Giving off a less than pleasant burnt vanilla scent, and you may damage your warmer.
So, there you have it, it’s as simple as:
- Cover the base of your Scentsy dish with water.
- Add a few drops of vanilla extract.
- Switch on and enjoy.
If you’re looking for other scents you can do the same with essential oils instead of vanilla extract too.
This opens up the possibility for hundreds of new scents at a more affordable price than the wax melts too.
