Tips when Responding to A Favorable Performance Review
When writing or sending a response to a good performance review, here are 5 tips that’ll help ensure you get the right message across:
1. Show appreciation: Express your gratitude and thank the reviewer sincerely for their kind words.
2. Acknowledge accomplishments: Highlight your achievements, and make sure to emphasize that you have taken note of the reviewer’s feedback.
3. Be humble: Keep your response humble and don’t be boastful. Acknowledge that you still have a lot more to learn and areas to improve upon.
4. Remain motivated: Use the review to stay inspired and motivated. Let the reviewer know that you are determined to continue working hard and striving for excellence.
5. Look ahead: Make it clear that you are looking forward to continuing the journey, and achieving even greater success in the future – and back that up with your actions!
Also, the important things to remember here are that a; it only takes a few minutes to send a response, and b; it’s better to send something rather than nothing.
So, if you’re really stuck for words or you’re stressing over something in particular, just write what comes to mind and send that.
It’ll be well-received and it’s better to acknowledge your performance review and let your supervisor/manager know that you appreciate it.
